IMPORTANT: Ad size should be set up as 720w x 480h widescreen in a 16:9 aspect ratio. If you supply a 4:3 ad spot, it will run with black space on both sides; Unique Screen Media will not scale up the image and crop it on the top and bottom. When the winner is selected, the ad should be supplied on a Beta SP tape or as an uncompressed QuickTime movie on a data DVD. Please do not author the DVD, since capturing it will result in quality loss.
Layout Recommendations
Text & Copy:
- Keep your message simple. Avoid complex details that will detract from your main message.
- Text colors should have an extreme contrast with the backgrounds.
- Do not use bright text, especially against bright or white backgrounds, it does not show well on screen.
- Use bold fonts! Scripts and fine serif fonts are harder to read on screen.
Photos & Graphics:
- If photographs are used, they should take up at least 25% of the screen, anything smaller cannot be seen clearly. Photos need to be sharp and clear. ACS reserves the right to refuse to use low resolution, poor quality photographs in an effort to maintain quality in the Preflix program.
- Logos should take up at least 15% of the screen for branding. (contact CSLS to get a copy of the logo)
- If possible, convert the CSLS logo to Vector format.
- All type and graphics should move slow enough to be read and seen.
